Dégustée en fût sur place. De couleur ambrée foncée et claire. Nez de houblon floral aux faibles notes résineuses et herbeuses, légèrement fruité (notes de pêches et d’agrumes) et très légèrement malté du genre caramel doux. Rondeur moyenne en bouche avec un pétillement moyen ainsi qu’une texture aux petites notes huileuses. Goût léger-moyen amer de houblon floral aux notes citriques et résineuses (présent en arrière-goût durant toute la gorgée) avec un léger goût fruité (agrumes, traces de pêches sucrées) lors de l’entrée en bouche suivi d’un goût malté de caramel très doux avec des notes de pain puis en finale l’amertume de houblon se fait légèrement plus herbeuses et très légèrement sèches. Post-goût moyen-long, léger-moyen amer de houblon floral et très légèrement résineux, avec des notes fruitées (agrumes). (été 2006)

Dark amber ale with a htin off white head. Nice caramel malt and nice floral hops in aroma. Crisp malt attack with decent floral hops in mouth. Medium bodied. A nice classic pale ale. On tap. summer 2005.

On tap 3/6/05 with Muzzlehatch and tiggmtl at the brewpub. From tiggmtl’s glass. Amber-golden, with some light orange tints and a small white head. Quite clear. Aroma of hops, floral and slightly fruity. Flavor is very standard hops and pale malt. A little bit of dry white breadiness, some slight toasted notes and a hint of caramel on the finish. But these are all very faint and though the body is medium and not overly watery, the hops still take front stage here. Pretty standard, by-the-books, as Oakes says, APA.

Brownish amber. Aroma of lemony, orangey hops. Loads of cookie malt gives a firm body and clean mouthfeek. Medium bitterness. A solid beer.

Light copper; light, vaguely English hop aroma. Slightly earthy palate, that started doing strange things like mushroom and Lincolnshire Poacher. If they ever decide to give this beer a name they should call it Ploughman's.
