La Summer Oddity est, comme son nom l'indique, une véritable curiosité. Brassée à partir de la Summer Ale, nous avons rajouté des concombres frais pendant la fermentation. Une bière au concombre ? Eh oui ! C'est frais, c'est végétal, c'est légèrement amer, désaltérant et vraiment curieux ! A réserver aux amateurs de concombre et de produits audacieux.

France…so sad to see Le Croissant get so close to winning two in a row and failing…not! Lucky to take it as far as they did IMO. Give it another go in 2026.

Bottle. Thanks Phil. Aroma is pickles, cucumber, bit of beer in there. Flavour is alright, cucumber, pickle again, quite soft, but malty. Quencher.

Bouteille 33 cl ramenée de vacances. Robe orange trouble et mousse persistante blanche. Arômes floraux et frais, concombre. En bouche, bière crémeuse, notes herbacées, concombre. Il y a du goût et une belle amertume qui pourrait provenir du concombre. Je suis assez fan même si elle peut sans doute être écoeurante à haute dose. Une bonne bière d'été grâce à sa fraîcheur!

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Clear amber colour lasting cream head. Not much saison going on. Some malt some hop A little herby. Odd beer. Some toffee. Odd true but quite pleasant.

Thank you! Tasting glass @ Hoppy Loft. Golden, creamy white. Nose is massive cucumber peel, all green, low grass, grainy, vegetable. Massive, massive cucumber peel taste, too much so for me, just bitter peel, vegetable, grain, oily,... Green cucumber peel, soapy, soft carbonation. odd, overkill for me, could use dunno balance? Or less peel.

Part of a 10 euro, 6 beer blind tasting set at Trois 8’s biergarten event in Paris. As I’d gotten a bottle the night before and been told about this weird beer I was able to guess right away this was the beer from France. It poured an opaque honey gold with a pickle juice aroma. It’s got a soft round carbonation with a prickly finish. The taste is pickle: tangy, acidic a bit ashey. Bizarre but cool. I then shared my bottle with Shoulderbroken + Kyotolefty when I ran into them at Euston Tap.
