Made from two row and malted wheat, Bourbon County Brand Wheatwine debuts this year. As the first recipe to veer from the original Imperial Stout since Barleywine in 2013, Wheatwine displays a deep amber color, lighter than its counterparts and acts a true medium to convey the characteristics of our 4+ year old Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels. Wheatwine overflows with flavors of caramel, vanilla, butterscotch, and toffee.

Elegant as wheat wines can be... this one is bold. Still, after 7 years.

Bottle @ Dry January share. Pours brown with a small white head. Aromas of caramel, vanilla, dark fruits, milk chocolate, wheaty sweet notes. Taste has heavy caramel, dark fruits, vanilla, toffee, booze, oak. Pretty delicious!

Really not my favourite style, but this one is done so well. Clearly a heavy beast, some boozyness, but drinks easier than it should. Nice bourbon, bit of alcohol from there, some wood. Base beer is somewhat sweet, and nicely dense. Glad to try it!

Bottle, 2018. Oh wow, more life! Dark amber color, some white head. Creamy caramelly malty notes mixing with bog barrel. Smooth, silky taste, coconut and caramel, vanilla dancing around with woody touches. Excellent by all means, no doubt there!

2018 bottle. Deep amber color with white head. Aroma is wheat, vanilla, caramel, fudge, toffee. Taste is vanilla, caramel, sticky wood, almost sirupy. Thick mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Nice, but very sweet.
