Bottiglia. Il naso riconosce rose e floreale. L'intensità olfattiva è normale, permanendo in maniera sufficiente.

Bottle at home. Aroma of malts, caramel, red fruits, definite spicy notes, cinnamon, some brown sugar, hint of chocolate. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Pleasantly surprising balanced sweetness for a malty/spicy Belgian Ale. Enjoyable.

14 November 2019. At Cambrinus, Bruges. Shared with the lovely Anke! Pours hazy brown-amber with a big, lasting, frothy, tan head; decent lacing. Aroma of caramel, prune, raisin, red apple, toast, dried tea leaves. Taste is medium fruity sweet, hints of prune, raisin, sourish brambleberry, going over a liquorice & caramel base with a herbal, slightly spicy bitterness. Dryish, herbal hoppy finish, lingering caramel, dried fruit & warming liqueur alcohol. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation. 'Basic' Belgian brown, just okay.

Near black with a ring bubbly tan head. Aroma of big oxidization, this bottle certainly has some age on it. Malt, caramel and overripe dark fruits putting in an appearance too. Flavour is above moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Aroma: Roasted malt and bread. Taste: dry with roasted malt notes. Aftertaste: dry, tart, with roasted bitterness. Not bad.
