Brewed especially for the 145th birthday of brewery duvel-moortgat. The idea was to put a touch of every beer they own in this beer.

On draught at Duvelorium, Brugge. Awfully badly poured the Dutch way with a little finger of rinsing water still in the glass... Good, very dense snowwhite head, textbook lace over lazily carbonated, veiled greenish-golden beer. Dry-spicy nose, with herbs - coriander? curaçoa? Bit citrussy hops, but not the New World ones. Dryish, with definitely wheat in the flavour. Bit citrussy again. Light to medium bodied, very soft carbonation, wheatslick. Alcohol perfectly hidden in the Moortgat way. Sorry Hedwig, I just don’t get this. Easy drinking beer (at 8.4 %...), but what was the target?

Pours rather clear blonde. Good White head smell is bit hoppy. Some clear duvel aspects, but a tad more sweet. Taste is Sharp, bitter, hoparomatic. This really tastes like duvel tripel hop , perhaps a blend of all 6 ? Could actually see this being true, really... Rather aromatic , i even get some sorachi ace ? Bitterness is quite high for the commercial character of moortgat. Typical duvel -yeast in the back. Pretty convinced i have a big Chance on being right on the dth-blend here..

5/XI/16 - on tap @ Als-ik-mijn-ogen-toe-doe-ben-ik-in-Honoloeloe (Mechelen) - BB: n/a (2016-1287)

Clear dark blond beer, solid creamy white head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: all ripe banana, hint of citrus, bit fruity, orange peel, some spices (coriander?). MF: soft to almost no carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots of ripe banana, pretty sweet, spicy touch, some vanilla, thinking about coriander, although the "spec list" doesn't mention them. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, ripe banana, bit yeasty, some orange peel, overripe fruits, and oh so much banana. Meh.

250 ml. draft @ ‘t Antwaerps Bierhuyske. This one came really out of nowhere for me. This one is supposed to be an anniversary beer in which every brewery that Moortgat added their touch to it. Fine concept I suppose but for me this largely came across as a Duvel Triple Hop with an odd hop profile. Interesting to see a new Duvel release come out on draft first. Clear orange golden, white bubbles. Nose is soapy, slightly weak Duvel yeast, faintly watery, mellowed out Duvel profile, esters. Taste is sweet soap, esters, sugar, mellowed out Duvel yeast, faint almost Sorachi Ace hop anyway low cheese hops buried in there, finish is a bit odd some strange plaster bitternes, weeds, strange finish. Rest is like mellowed out Duvel. Messy finish but decent brew. Lively beer but not as much as the regular Duvel, lightly soapy, some bitter plaster in the finish.
