This 2005 vintage brew is courtesy of SuzyGreenberg. Pours orange to copper with slight haze and thin white head. It has a pungent aroma of roses, sweet cherries, sweet red apples, raisins, pepper and finishing with some heat. The taste is much the same with biting fruity sweetness up front from cherries and sugar coated apple wedges. It then bleeds into rose pedals, molasses and caramel. Wow, there is a lot going on here. It is both bold and smooth at the same time. Very nice stuff.

Hazy brown colour. Very spicy nose. Lots of cinnamon, nutmeg, alcohol and caramel notes. A little bit cidery, which is unfortunate. Light fruity finish. Nice brew, on the whole. I don’t think I got anywhere near sorting it all out but I liked what I did get out of it.

Bottle 2005 vintage: Cloudy orange amber color with a smaller white head. Nose is complex. Mints, honey, seemingly cloves. Taste is mostly sweet with a hint of ginger, cloves, more mint, hints of alcohol, and a whiskey like note. Very smooth, the alcohol presence is just perfext. Thanks to DocLock for this one!

Bottle. Sweet pine aroma. Almost clear red copper colour. Small head. The flavour has a nice pepperiness. Quite spicy and herbal with a hint of added vitamins.

Nose spicy with cinnamon, nutmeg and caramel; hazy rusty color with a ring of beige bubbles around the glass sides; flavor sane as the nose with the addition of alcohol; kind of like a spicy Belgian and a liitle hops trying to overcome the sweetness in the finish.

What are we waiting for?....the aging of the beer...so that is what we did....here is the review of its release, "Like whoah"-sm..rich carmel color...heaVY , creaMY, syurPY....trying to figure out what i’m tasting....cardamom (allspice)....pungent herb....bitter herb...harsh to sip due to the high %%%%...........Now Its after the release of 11 and we try it again:....still the same syurpy texture......Miller detects a pineapple aroma..Funk recognizes it as well along with a maraschino cherry aftertaste......the spices are more apparent than a year ago...but that is all......and that is all...

(Bottle 65 cl) Clear amber golden, basically no head. Berry like aroma - juniper? Very full-bodied with some sweetish caramel. Some odd - but pleasant - herbal accents. Quite spicy. Slightly sweet finish. Interesting indeed. 220406

Bottle: Poured a hazy deep amber color ale with a small foamy head with minimal retention. Aroma of strong malt with something very sweet and a mix of spices that probably include some cinnamon. Taste is incredibly sweet with what seems like a jar of honey that has been dropped in here, cinnamon and finally some hops that try to emerge from this strange concoction. Body is as full as it can get and alcohol is definitely detectable. I read lots of comments on how this beer should be cellar and even after a couple of months, this is still very hot and not that enjoyable and makes me wonder how many months/years will it take to tone it down.

22 oz. Bottle. Strong aroma and equally strong flavor. Both were good in my opinion. A extremely huge amount of alcohol in it, deffinately a drink that takes a lot to get though, as I almost felt full by the end.

Bottle, sampled this evening. Pours light brown ith no head. Aroimas of sweet honey, wildflowers, nutmeg, clove, and cinnamon. Strong alcohol flavor with a sweet honey finish. Has some spice in there as well. Too much of an alcohol flavor for my liking, almost finishing with a nail polish remover-like flavor.
