Is Nothing Big Bunny Is Everything

Can from the Packie. Dark brown/black in color with a good sized tan head that persists. Roasty earthy caramel and lots of chocolate maltiness. Pretty tasty brew.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, one to two centimetre tall rich brown head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, lactose, pure cream, a lot of earth, some raisins, figs and especially prunes with a lot of additional sugars/molasses throughout. Full-bodied; Rich chocolate and coffee notes dominate with a lot of pure roasted malts and oat notes right behind with some light spices like anise and licorice, with a lot of bitterness emanating from the coffee and umami notes with some light mushroom and soy sauce flavours as well, all ending with a pleasant sweetness from prunes and plums on the edges. Aftertaste shows the deep roasted malts and coffee notes with some of the oat and lactose flavours as well, with a pleasant sweetness, quite bitter malt profile and surprisingly light alcohol bite, but that is probably due to the relatively low ABV for the style and of course the time aged. Overall, a nice enough beer that shows some nice aspects, but not enough complexity or range and the flavours that do roam through are relatively plain and ordinary. I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased exactly two years ago on 31-May-2020 for US$2,49 at the Greenville Beer Exchange in Greenville, South Carolina, sampled exactly two years later at my house here in Washington on 31-May-2020, the last day of the month and surprisingly nice outside and almost worthy of this style!

Rocky tan head left a froth on a still black body. Heavy malt, coal & roasted aroma. Medium to full bodied, creamy on the tongue with sticky back. Heavy malt, demerara, syrup, jam, demerara, smokey & berry tastes with a tangy citrus finish.

Can, 8%. Raw liquorice and salt liquorice aroma. Black colour. Big stable brown head. The flavour starts off a little sweet, but quickly turns quite roasted. Late creamed coffee aftertaste. Tastes a lot like a good creamy Baltic Porter to me.

Flinke bak roast, lactose, pure chocolade. Flink bitter ook. Had zonder de lactose gekund.

From a 355ml can on 27/9/2019. Pours the darkest of brown, with a small head. Has a decent chocolate and vanilla nose. The taste follows suit - milk chocolate, vanilla, caramel and cocoa, with a mild roasty bitterness. The palate is slightly creamy, the carbonation modest. A very enjoyable big sweet stout. But brickbats to their marketing team for a choosing a can design that is close to impossible to read.

Can. Black with little head. Biscuit, chocolate and caramel nose. Sweet but subtle. Wasn't Easter Egg blast I was expecting. Really just a sweet milk stout. Hides booze well.
