Clear, dark copper pour, with a medium off white head. Aroma is very piney, with some sweet candied citrus peel. Juicy, zest hops, but also quite malty. A well balanced ipa, light caramels and solid citrus notes with a strong pine resin finish.

Cloudy gold with a rich white head. Orange and mango notes. Lots of mango and a nice bitterness. Creamy and pleasant.

Pours a slight hazed amber colour from the can with golden highlights. Warm frothy cap with good retention and very nice creamy-sticky lacing. Very hoppy nose with piney notes, oranges and other woods like cedar. The taste is not as crazy, so goes down nicer than expected. Still the pine hop notes with some citrus and a light caramel base. On the border of a Imperial IPA. Quite well-brewed and smooth overall.

Cannette 473 ml.

Keg at Sir John A, Ottawa. Clear copper colour, small head. Grapefruity nose with some caramel. Mid dry with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Caramel, grapefruit and tomato. Long bitter finish. Interesting hop flavours, but the caramelly tones are out of place.

Draft: Poured a clear amber color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of fruity ester with some light citrus hops is quite refreshing. Taste is a mix of fruity ester with some citrusy hops and some sweet malt notes. Body si about average with good carbonation. Tasted more like a hoppy Belgian ale than a standard IPA but enjoyable experience nonetheless.

Tap at Red Door Provisions in Ottawa. Slightly hazy dark copper pour with little white head. Aroma is faint tropical fruit with spicy malt. Taste follows - quite malty and red with a deep bitterness on the finish. Not my type of IPA, much more of a red IPA with a spicy malt profile.

On tap at Byward Taps YOW. Cloudy dark orange amber with a small tan head. Nose is burnt sugar with moderate citrus. Moderate sweet toffee leading to a medium bitter middle and end with some spice. Mouth is on the light side of medium with average carbonation.

A lightly hazed amber ipa with a thin off white head. In aroma, nice fruity caramel malt with light floral hops, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with good floral and catty hops, light butterscotch, nice alcohol warmth, very good. On tap at Ottawa Folkfest 2014.
