Tried in a bottle from flavourly. Amber to rich off red colour with a tan head. Aroma and taste are slight herby and grainy. Medium body. Not a stand out.

Brown bottle, 330 ml, from and with Luc Bourbonnière (merci!) during a tasting with Per, savoured on March 10 2017; eye: caramel with a coppery hue, slightly hazy, no effervescence, no head, no lacing; nose: spent grains, green apple, oxidized; mouth: spent grains, oxidation, green apple, light cardboard, caramel, oxidized finale, light body, below-average carbonation, mildly sweet, thin; overall: too old

Bottled at Ottawa gathering. Hazy amber, small head. Honey and toffee up front. Mid sweet with light-medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Caramel and honey. Low bitterness.

A reddish copper ale with a thin white head. In aroma, caramel malt with light grassy hops, oxidized, herbaceous character, not very good. In mouth, sweet caramel malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, oxidized honey notes, blah... Tasted with GRM and Omhper, March 2017.

Flasche ("Panda Eyes Red Honey Ale", 33 cl) vom Panda Brew Pub, Dongsi Beidajie, Peking. - Kupferrotbraun, klar; kaum Schaum. - In der Nase warmes Karamelmalz, holzig-krautige Herbe und deutlich oxidierte, schwach muffige Züge. - Im Antrunk bitteres Karamelmalz und krautige, holzige Herbe. Eine schwache Honigsüße (laut Etikett wurde Honig verwendet) kommt nicht gegen die die unangenehme Holzigkeit an. Schwach rezent, etwas abgestanden. Ranzig bitterer, leicht fuseliger Nachgeschmack. - Unangenehm herb und zu alt, obwohl erst vor kurzem direkt ab Brauerei gekauft. Kein Genuß.

Bottle from Beer Beer Enough on Gulou E St. Red-Amber color with a tan head and a sweet bready honey raisin aroma. Medium to light bodied with a dry finish. The taste is similar to the nose, malt, Graham cracker, honey, a dab of spice and raisin sweetness. As I’d read pretty mediocre reviews of Panda beers I was pleasantly surprised.

Bottle @ Shanghai Beer Festival. Nice hoppy beer, piney with notes of citrus, orange cest, red orange and subtile honey notes. Really nice!
