A nicely balance English-style ale. The expected dark bready malt has a soft caramel and toast profile, set off nicely by what I expect are classic understated English hops. An appropriate but significant effervescence punches up the taste. A nice session ale for the long, cold Ontario winter!

Decent hopping, soft biscuity malts, some light yeast, soft citrus mixed with toffee. Good mouth feel, and carb. Light finish, low bitterness, a tad dry, toffee, grassy end.

Keg at Ottawa Winter Brewfest. Disclaimer: This event used plastic cups, which may have prevented my ability to fully appreciate this beer. Hazy nut brown. Butterscotch aroma. Mid sweet with light body and clean mouthfeel. Cardboard, hazelnuts and butterscotch. Metallic finish.

A hazed amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, light caramel malt with grassy hops, sweet fruity notes. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with fruity esters, grassy hops, OK. On tap at Ottawa Folkfest 2014.

On cask at Arrow & the Loon, under the name "Dixie Paddler". Pours a hazy caramel amber colour with a warm cap and patchy lacing. Caramel malt aromas with some grassy hops. Banana notes eventually comes out. Mild watery caramel taste at first, but hops come out in the finish. Bitterness get stronger in the aftertaste. Medium-light bodied. Nicely balanced between the caramel and hops.

Ok for style. Well balanced, and would be a great session pub ale in the UK. Pours cloudy brown wothout much head or lacing. Some light citrus hops and a pretty good malt profile. Nice crisp barley. Finishes a little bitter. Tap at Arrow and loon.
