Keg at Six Degrees N, Aberdeen. It pours deep mahogany brown with a medium beige head. The aroma is rich, oily, earthy roast, date, prune, fruit cake, candied plum, maple syrup, juicy, cakey and toasted brown sugars. The taste is dry, slick, oily, warming alcohol, loads of dried fruits, date, prune, plum, sultana, unctuous, spicy, banana bread, fruit cake, caramel, tablet. and maple with a warming finish. Fulsome body, fine carbonation and oily mouth - feel. Flavourful and moreish. A rather impressive Belgian quad.

Sampled from tap at ACBF 2017. Slightly hazy, dark red with a beige head. Sweetish, slightly fruity and a little sourish aroma of cherries, raspberries, some wood and hints of raisins. Rather sweet, malty and slightly fruity taste of molasses, red fruits, raisins and some oak, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little yeasty-spicy finish. Medium to full body, oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!
