Can from the LCBO with 35 IBU. Dark brown colour, almost black, with a yellow-beige frothy head, decent retention and lacing. Molasses from the roasted malt and cocoa notes. Some nice vanilla too. Flavours of roasted malts with some mild coffee. The hops are present and nicely balanced the whole way. A little burnt wood in the finish. Quite a nice easy-drinking loaded stout.

Can from the LCBO shared in Japan. Pouring pitch black with a thick beige head it’s very smooth bodied with tons of roasty oats and velvety chocolate flavor. Much nicer than I was expecting and if it was regularly available where I was I could see this being a good drink and not think about it everyday stout.

A deep dark brown stout with a very thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with light grassy hops, light vanilla, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with light grainy notes, light vanilla, light powdery character, pleasant. Cask at Caskapalooza Ottawa 2016.
