27 August 2022. At Hal 16 (Dok Brewing). Shared with the lovely Anke!
Clear pale yellow, thin, white head. Aroma of unripe plum, green apple, wet hay, leather, cheese. Taste has sour apple & unripe stonefruit along funky hay & citrusy notes. Woody, tart fruity finish. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Enjoyable but pretty straightforward in the end.

Tap at BXL. Pale yellow golden. Grainy, lemon, herbal notes, spruc. Quite sour. Not as light bodies as you might expect from the ABV. Dry finish. Refreshing brew.

Bottle. It pours a clear straw colored body with just a few white bubbles as a head. It's quite fruity-sourish on the nose, lemon mostly, with vague notes of herbs, damp forest and pickled cucumber. It's quite tart on the palate, medium to thin bodied, with a smooth carbonation. Some tannins. Lemony sourness, generic fruityness, lime notes, hints of hay, herbs and wood, and a wee vinegar touch. Quite short finish. Quite interesting this one, more than a year past BB date. It's quite tasteful, but far from complex, with good refreshing qualities. I've had it once before, but then I found it much more doughy and even less complex. 210430

Bottle @ Patricks. Almost clear pale golden body with a fast disappearing white head. Mild aroma of mature fruit with cellar notes, almost a bit medicine association. Taste is ripe fruit, some acidity and old woodwork. Medium body and same aftertaste. Quite unusually and a bit strange, not sure if the intension is to taste like this but it’s difficult to describe exactly, a bit like many subtle flavors with a slightly harsh and old feeling.
