Bottle, 75cl. A dark reddish brown beer with a dense, small beige head. Lightly funky aroma, with roasted malt notes, lots of dark dried fruits, some bread, caramel and chocolate, and some spiced hints. It’s full bodied, warming, nicely carbonated and with a decent bitterness in the back. Dried fruits, caramel, some bread and coffee and a spiced yeast hint in the lightly funky flavor. Lasting finish. Quite pleasant, although an unusual quad. 161209

And so it came to pass that six like minded people met on the 20th day of November in the year of 2016: those six people shared twenty five fine beers. This is one of those twenty five. It poured a dark brown with a slight haze, the head a weak tanned affair. Hedgerow fruits in the nose alongside a mild cherry ester. The taste leaned more towards the cherries although other fruity flavours abounded too. A sweet and sour sort of feel to whole beer.

75cl bottle @ Rich’s 7k tasting. Pours very dark, small tan head. Aroma is dark fruits, cascara cherries, dark malts. Taste is quite a complex quad with interesting cascara cherry notes blending well with the fruity Belgian yeast. Excellent.
