Bottle split at Islo tasting, thanks to Kenny, 04/10/16. Mahogany brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is stewed fruits, dates, dark fruit tanf, earthy, light spice. Taste carries a soured fruit mash, toffee, grains, earthy, brown bread, light funk. Full bodied, fine carbonation, warming alcohol in the close. Ok quad but didn’t quite come together.

Bottle at the JK tasting, big thanks to Kenny. It pours cloudy mahogany brown with with a medium pale tan head. The aroma is earthy, woody, bitter - sweet, leather, fruit cake, musty action and a hint of smoke. The taste is toasty, sweet, harsh booze in my face, slight solvent note, green apple, leather, wood, leather, brown bread and some fruit cake with a warming finish. Full body and average carbonation. I like aspects of this beer, but there are a few off-flavours kicking about.
