Bottle share at RBBWG 2017, thanks for sharing.

750 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBWG VI (2017). Hazy orange, creamy off-white head. If there is such a thing as a typical modern day Fantôme profile, this beer has it, if there is a Fantôme yeast, this beer tastes like that. Nose is mellow BE esters, oddly some corn, sunflower seeds, bitter hay, grass, Fantôme yeast. Taste is fizzy Fantôme yeasts, lemon, bitter green grass, white pepper, zest, decently bitter, mandarin peel. Quite lively in the carbonation. Pretty solid fizzy, bitter BE classical brew.

Bottle thanks to Edubb. Pours a cloudy gold with medium white head that lasts. The aroma is funk, rubber, yeast, apple skin. Medium body, funky, lemon, rubber, dry, good.

8/I/17 - 75cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ home - BBE: 2019 (2017-30)

Clear orange beer, creamy solid off-white to yellowish head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of marijuana when opening the bottle, grassy, funky, hay, grains, hint of caramel, bit yeasty. MF: lively carbon, medium to full body. Taste: pretty yeasty, funky, grassy, floral, hoppy, soft bitterness, very floral, little soapy, some of that marijuana still. Aftertaste: very dank, hoppy, grassy, floral, hay, lovely bitterness. Wow, really good beer. I bet it will not age well!

Bottle. Etre Gourmet. Hazy gold. Thick, foamy, lasting, off white head. Good looker. Nose has fruity, ripe banana esters. Very bready. Very honeyed. Taste is sweet up front, with some grassy bitterness. Foamy mouthfeel. Feels boozy and a little harsh. Bitter finish. Miles off Fantome’s usual standard of enjoyable, weirdy funk.

Huge, stable, lightly yellowish head over fully hazy orange beer. Quite hoppy nose; herbal/spicy hops, wild herbs. Toasted mlats; again lots of herbs/weeds. A little bit buttery - diacetyl?, but much more prominent 1,4 diguaicol - as a German Weizens’ clove. Very slick, fine titillating at the tonguesides. More a Hefeweizen with all the guaicol. Not to my taste, really. Txs to Louis!

Pours unclear dark amber, good, very fluffy white head. Smell is sharp bitter, mild sour-buttery undertone, malty. Taste is mostly bitter up front. after that comes a saison yeast- together with buttery features.Pretty sure about Dyacethyl being in here. Aftertaste goes strong on the saison yeast, but dies off pretty soon after. all and all, it’s pushing the border of ’do I wanna finish this glass’ ... Sigh..Fantome does have some good bottles, including great ones, too, but the dyacethyl unfortunately ruined this for me. Better luck next time, i guess. 2.2/5 ------------------------------------------- Re-rate - Sampled at the RBBWG2017 . Thnx for sharing, everyone ! This sample had no dyacethyl to me, at all. Taste has strong aspects of cornflakes, bitter, full, very malty. this is actually pretty nice indeed. i’d give this a 3.7 on its own. -------- medium score for now : 3
