Bottle share at RBBWG 2017, thanks for sharing. L16013/11 BB 10/2018.

Bottle from Animatchime shared at RBBWG in Antwerp. Limitedly released beer in 75 cl bottles from a brand new home brewery apparently gone professional now. Off-white, bubbly, thin head, hazy ochre-hued golden robe. Aroma is heavy on bubblegummy banana ester as well as DMS (overcooked white cabbage), next to hints of dough, grass, honey, melon, white pepper, pear, raw potato. Fruity, estery onset, lots of the expected banana ester, impressions of melon, peach and lightly sourish gooseberry, medium carbo, slick body. Cereally and bready malt middle with ongoing esters and spicy phenols here and there, honeyish residual sugary sweetness on top, earthy finish with a spicy, leafy and ’rooty’ hop bitter touch and still persistent banana ester, while that awful DMS returns retronasally. Stereotypical Belgian blonde with tripel-ish features, very basic and generic in style and unfortunately suffering too much from DMS for me. Acceptable but needs finetuning - which includes getting rid of that DMS.

Very good, snowwhite head on very finely bubbled hazy orange-golden beer. Spicy, yeasty nose, estery and a bit peppery. Peppery flavour, bit of gingerbread, and pipetobacco aroma retronasal. Light to medium bodied, well-carbonated. Bit middle-of-the-road, average.

Thank you Aminatchime! 750 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBWG VI (2017). BBF 10/2018. Golden orange, small white head. Nose is an assault of raw BE esters, fizzy chemical esters, boozy BE blond affair with sweet orange peel, weeds. Taste is industrial fizzy soap, chemical, excessive BE esters, weeds, chemical, boozy, grains. Thin soapy, fizzy esters body. A high boost BE blond beer that is hard to drink, too carbonated, feels far boozier than 7.3 % and feels like the esters came out of a laboratory There is a clear market for beers like this in Belgium, I am not a fan.

25/II/17 - 75cl bottle @ RBBWG (Beerlovers Bar, Antwerpen) - BB: X/2018 (2017-202) Thanks to Animatchime for sharing the bottle!

Clear blond beer, big irregular off-white creamy head, dissipates quickly, bit adhesive. Aroma: very yeasty, some band-aid, definitely something off, sweetish. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: surprisingly bitter start, some banana, yeast, bit spicy. Aftertaste: sugary, sweet, yeast, banana. Well, at least they used the local yeast, I'd guess. :p
