We heard it over and over again, that there is no reason for a craft brewery to brew a regular lager. We believed however, that a simple but high quality beer has its place even in the most extreme of craftbeer pubs. Our pils is of the German style, lighter in colour and maltiness than a Czech example would be. We wouldn’t be Fehér Nyúl if we didn’t twist this classic even if just a little bit. Dryhopped with a new wave Slovenian hop, Styrian Dragon. Simple to drink, to share, to love.

15/I/22 - 33cl can from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home, BB: 15/VI/22, B331 (2022-74)

Little cloudy bright yellow beer, big creamy to fluffy white head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: a little malty up front, grassy touch, bit floral, hay, grains, cookie dough, biscuit malts. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: malty start, slightly sweet, grains, nice bitterness, some banana, bit herbal. Aftertaste: nice bitter finish, grassy, yeast notes, sweet malts, some banana, fruity touch.

Draught at the brewery. Cloudy, gold colored. AROMA- malty, bready, noble hops. FLAVOR- neutral to slightly sweet, slightly bitter, the same as aroma. Medium bodied. Good.

Bottle. Quite clean golden color, with a white head. Aroma is herbal, fruity. Taste is sweetish, malty, also floral notes. Medium carbonation, a bit oily texture. Not bad, ok beer but not really a pils.

slightly turbid, light color, huge when filled, then rapidly depleting white foam. Its aroma gives the hops well, quite raw, hopy, but it really resembles a Czech pilsner, even with Slovenian hops. It tastes moderately bitter, not very carbonated, and full-bodied. A slightly fresher, more carbonated, Czech, foamier, more transparent version would be better, but it was still good. Recommended!

On tap. Hazy golden body, white head. Herbal-driven aroma, slightly dull. Sweetish lean and generally clean taste. The Dragon doesn't seem to deliver on anything that its blurb promises, but proves to give out a pretty okay flowery hop, usable for a lager. Compared to solid Czech stuff, this doesn't thrill really - but would I refuse another pint? No.

Eléggé értékelhetetlen lévén h annyira behűtötték mint a izlandi heringet. Ezért minek sört főzni, ennyire erővel lefagyasztok egy kőbányait
