Last year we had the pleasure of brewing with one of Budapest's finest, Monyo, in their digs, this year we had Monyo over at our place for the return brew! Together we made a round, sightly sweet and super easy going New England IPA brewed using extra pale malt, oats and wheat. We've used a new hop to us, Bru-1, which provides a lime like zest and bubblegum tones whilst a good dose of ekuanot in the whirlpool brings super fleshy, soft pear and peach flavours.

Can. Pours hazy yellow with big white head. Nose is big bubblegum, pineapple and other tropical fruits I can’t put my hands on. Taste is the same tropical fruits minus the bubblegum and there’s some slight hop burn at the ens of the sip. Low to none bitterness, light body, soft carbonation.

Can shared at home and enjoyed via video chat due to covid-19. Aroma is soft citrus and stone fruit, grapefruit, peach and orange. Soft mouthfeel, medium body. Flavour is smooth and malty sweet, with a soft bitterness. Nicely sweet, grapefruit and lots of peach. Nice underlying herbal hops.

440ml can. Hazy golden, white head. Aroma of bubblegum, peach, lime. Taste is quite sweet, bubblegum, zesty lime, peachy, malts. Medium body. A bit boring and lacking the vibrant juicy fruity notes I expected. It's fine but definitely not a fave from North.
