Bottle. Pours a hazy yellow color with a long-lasting white head. Has a fruity malty spicy weak yeasty aroma with weak hoppy hints. Fruity malty spicy yeasty weak bretty flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty weak bretty finish.

33 cl bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a huge white head. Aroma is grassy and slight citrusy hoppy. Crisp hoppy, light citrusy. Smooth fruity. Crisp hoppy and lingering mild fruity finish.

Sampled @ Ratebeer Belgian Summer Gathering 2016. Hazy cloudy very pale yellow, full sized soapy foamy white head. Aroma is quite faint, flavor is subtle but somewhat hoppy and lightly bitter. Not bad.

Cloudy very pale straw yellow beer, small aery white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: bit yeasty, fruity touch, spicy, coriander? MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: spicy, coriander, some citrus, bit grassy. Aftertaste: little hoppy, quite a lot of yeast, some citrus.

33cl bottle @RBBSG2016. Trübes hell gelbes Bier mit mittelgroßen weißen schaumkrone. Geruch getreidig malzig, leicht zitronig hopfig. Geschmack zitronig bitter hopfig, grasig, limetten, helles malz.

At rbbsg16. Thnx for sharing People ! Pours fuzzy yellow. Good to big white head. Smell is dry , bitter, full. Taste is very like the belgian taras boulba. Not bad.

Bottle. Bright straw-yellow color. Aroma: pears, other fruits and Belgian yeast, spicy and citrus. Taste: watery, pear, a little apple with seeds, a bit and bitter.

Very Champenoise pearling to high snow-white head over pale lemonjuice-coloured beer. Lemon, coriander, pale malts. Dry-malty, faintly spice if not necessarily coriander. Well-carbonated, quite slick, spices as beefing. Light, but quite good! Txs to Eugene!

330 ml. bottle at the Pravda brewpub. Oh boy was I surprised and shocked to see this, one of my all-time favorite beers brewed in Ukraine / an Ukrainian version of all things. The text in the bubbles actually differs from the original version, father is saying something akin to your mother is a whole as opposed to scumbag in dialect. The square bubbles features a text about fighting and destroying industrial beer. This beer being brewed in Ukraine is double interesting of course since the story Taras Boulba was written by the famous Ukrainian writer Gogol. Pours citrus paler golden, soapy white head. Nose is soapy citrus, low floral (nowhere anything close to the onslaught of the original), soap, citrus, oddly some yeast, touch lemongrass. Taste is a touch bland, lemongrass, citrus, fizzy, a bit too soapy, some yeast. Feels a bit empty & fizzy. It is actually a bit yeasty and no as clean, dry & crisp as the original hop is very low. Not bad on its own but pales compared to the original for me due to those qualities for me. Bottled 14.04.16.
