(bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, orange-amber colour with a firm, medium-sized and off-white foamy head. Delicately bready malty aroma with a cornucopia of mainly fruity and lighter flowery and piney accents, including notes of citrus, grapefruit, passion fruit, tangerine and lychee. Moderately bitter and mildly sweet flavour, medium bodied with a soft, even a bit tame carbonation. Mildly bready malty base with traces of cough syrup, accompanied by drying fruity, flowery and piney hops; lingering and quite balanced mildly malty and massively hoppy, not too bitter finish. The alcohol is also well-embedded. 14.IV.17

330ml bottles [Hippocampus Brisgoviensis bipartitus, afloat per bartlebier’s regular and surprise box, thanks a (doppeltes) lot(tchen)!]. Cloudy, orangey, bright, deep golden colour with average to huge, frothy, mostly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Citrusy and tropical fruity, slightly resinous, hoppy aroma, notes of passion fruit, mango, lemon, mandarine, lemon zest, a touch of lime, hints of pine. Taste is biting bitter hoppy, resinous, piney, tropical fruity and citrusy, notes of lemon, passion fruit, lemon zest, minimally sweet, crystal malty basis. Gives the real hop kick appropriate to reanimate a paralysed and mummified sea horse.

Thnx to Bartlebier. Pours clear amberblonde, good white head. Smell is sweet (trough the hops) , bit bitter. Full taste, sharp bitterness; rich fruityness by the hops. Decent bitterness. Very nice !

Thank you Bartlebier! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ Bruges Beer Festival 2017. BBF 070617. Lightly hazy golden, super creamy white head. Nose is lightly yeasty, faint onion hop, citrus fruit hop. Taste is far better than the smell surprisingly, the amazing extreme mandarin, most mandarin fruity forward hop ever, low tangerine peel, faint grass, lightly yeasty. Body is bit yeasty. If only a touch less yeasty & bit more body but very nice, lovely drinking beer as it is with glorious mandarin hop profile.

0.33 l bottle from ’Crafters’, best before March 2017. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, stable, off-white head. Sweetish, very fruity, grassy, herbal-resiny aroma of mango, passion fruit, orange, lemongrass and pine. Slightly bitter, a little sweetish, rather fruity and herbal-grassy quite resiny taste of lots of mango, orange, passion fruit, lemongrass and pine, followed by a short medium long, rather dry-bitter, resiny and herbal-grassy finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very good!
