33cl bottle I shared at Travlr’s DC Departure RateBeer Tasting. From a trade with kappldav123, cheers David! Black with tan head. Aromas of caramel, roast, dark fruit, light alcohol. Tastes of dark chocolate, caramel, dark fruit, oak. Medium body with a dry finish. Well masked alcohol. Kind of light on the barrel but still tasty.

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle at RBBSG 2016 in Evergem. Pitch black with a light brown head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty and minimally fruity aroma of caramel, dark chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty and minimally fruity taste of dark chocolate, coffee, some caramel, hazelnut and vanilla, followed by a long, quite roasty-bitter, warming-alcoholic finish. Medium to full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very nice!

Thxi to Beerhunter111. 330 ml. bottle sampled @ RBBSG V. 2015 Vintage. BBF 05 FEB 2017. Dark brown going to black. Nose is quite promising sweet licorice, lightly herbal, vanilla, oak, spirit, mocha & oddly some low glue. Taste sadly isn’t for me, weirdly bitter, herbal, booze is glue like, plastic glue booze, charred barrel, messy plastic,… Soft carbonation,… Far too bitter, herbal, burned, glue-like for me but others quite liked. Too bad about the bitterness, I have had Slyrs and I quite liked it but bitter RIS are generally not my thing.

Clear brown to black beer, creamy beige head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of alcohol, soft roast, nice stuff, hoppy character. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very roasted, alcohol, sweet, dark chocolate, Aftertaste: sweet, sugary touch, vanilla notes, more chocolate. Lovely beer!
