Dark red amber with no head. Funky red berry aroma, especially cherry. Dry and very tart flavour with fruit, berries and wood. Long aftertaste dominated by berries

08.06.2013, 0,75l bottle @ home:
Small fizzy shortlasting head, lovely red-orange color. Aroma is lots of sour berries, red currants, mountain cranberries, sour cherries, unripe gooseberries, lemon. Taste is acidic sour, lemon, unripe gooseberries, mountain cranberries, sorrel, red currants, sour cherries. Dry mouthfeel. Lovely stuff, definately the best De Cam I’ve had so far.

Woodshed 2.0. Bottle share courtesy of nbutler11. It pours with a bit of a haze and ruby red colored body that supports a bright white head of foam. The aroma offers up tartness, musty dank basement notes, raspberry, sweaty socks and a bit of citrus acidity. The taste delivers tartness from raspberry and tart acidic citrus. Going toward midway I get some tart and sour vinegar mixing with the other notes. Nice stuff with plenty of richness and interest going on beyond being strictly acidic.

750mL bottle at DHVL, pours a hazy fuzzy red with a small white head. Aroma of sweet red berries, some light funk, and zest qualities. Flavour is quite acidic and berry fruity, with intensely sour berries that dominate. Not a whole lot of funk or other gueuze qualities. Very sour, with an intense lingering berry acidity. Decent stuff, but my least favourite De Cam beer.

This pours a slightly hazy red, small and quickly shrinking head of foam, little lacing.

The smell is of vinegar and sour fruit. Cherries? Yes, cherries with a slight aroma of some funk.

Tastewise, it is so pleasantly sour without going over the top. Sourness comes from cherries, light notes of vinegar, lightish hint of Brett but it’s not needed. The sourness from the fruit seals the deal. Yummy no matter how sufficiently or non efficiently I can say it. Good level of carbonation, which surprised me as when I removed the cork, there was only a light hissing sound.

Great mouthfeel for the style and exceedingly drinkable.

Another score for De Cam. I don’t regret one bit paying the price to get this beer from Belgium in a Box. Hell, I may buy some more.

Craft Clerkenwell. Bottle thanks to Matteo. Light haze on this amber - red beer. Little white head. Yprical Lambic palate - light, dry and crisp. Pleasantly tart cherry - blackcurrant. Seltzer minerals. Dry citrus. Quite like this!

Bottle at home. It pours clear deep red with a quickly dissipating white head. The nose is sour cherry, dried berry, jam, candy cane, strawberry and red apple. The taste is initially rather tart, mouth-puckering, sour gooseberry, white currant, tangy berry, cherry, bramble, lemon sherbet, Granny Smith apple, jamminess and a touch of earth with a clean, dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Gratifyingly tart and utterly drinkable. Straight-up delicious.

Bottle thanks to Matteo. Lovely fruit aroma. Some cherry. That is gorgeous. So nice love it. Then Ryan drank the rest of it. Slightly candy cherry flavour. But love the sour. So good.
