At first we launched Sleeping Lemons, 3.6% with a tart, zingy acidity and rounded salt character, it was the perfect sunshine beer. It was our firm favourite all through the summer, however it’s not summer anymore…

Sleeping Lemons Export comes in at 6% lending a bigger, maltier body to the beer. The fuller mouthfeel and warming alcohol bring decadent flavours of lemon meringue pie to the character of this beer and the acidity is more rounded and reminiscent of lemon curd.

Made with preserved lemons, this re-release of an old favourite, now available in our 330ml bottles for you selfish people out there who feel sharing is all too much...

Bottle: Poured a hazy beige color ale with a large pure white foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of salty preserved lemon is stronger than I was expecting but still enjoyable. Taste is a mix of light tart notes with some lemon notes and some sea salt notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. I loved the balance between the different flavours but it does take a bit of time to get used to the salty lemon notes.

Bottle shared with the missus at home in London - picked up at Real Ale. Pours lightly hazy gold with a fizzy, white head. The nose has a light herbal quality, ripening tangy lemons, subtle funky bits., grass. Light sweet flavour with mellow acidity, slight lemon rind bitterness, more herbs, wheat flakes, grass, ripening lemon, salt. Light to medium bodied with spritzy carbonation. Pretty lean on the finish, moderately dry, tart and refreshing, with more lemony notes, subtle rindy bitterness. Enjoyable.

Bottle. Turner’s, Sheffield. Pale yellow. Soft haze. Thin, dense, lasting, white head. Nose has lemon pith and peel. Some sweet grain. Light, saline, gueze like tang. Some sawn wood. Lemon sorbet sweetness. It’s simple, but pretty lovely. Love the preserved lemon character, that’s pretty much nailed on. Taste is salty, and sorbet sweet. Fresh palate. Foamy mouthfeel. Tangy, lemony, soft dry finish. Salty lips to boot. Very nice.
