Bottle at home 22nd January 2015. Pours a nice looking beer, good head that is retained. Aroma is a little sharp, some citrus, musky. The taste is full, delicious Sorachi, lemony, musky, makes your tongue tingle, perfect palate. Great to see some Sorachi beers around right now

Hazy amber beer, good cream colour head. Palate is airy and slightly soft, mild fine carbonation. Airy malts with a little creamy sweetness. Sorachi goodness ensues - bitterish floral lemon with a little spice. Mild orange underneath and a Motueka like creamy sweetness. Light semi dry finish. Lovely - I feel genuinely sorry for people who don’t like Sorachi!

Keg at the Bottle Shop, Bermondsey, 03/01/15. Hazed orange amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is juicy hops, Sorachi evident but not too intensive, pine, grapefruit, earthy, grassy. Taste comprises grapefruit, Sorachi, pine, bitter hops, faint menthol notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent Sorachi DIPA.

Keg at the bottle shop. Murky light amber coloured pour with a lasting loose white head. Aroma is nice funky citrus / coconut lemongrass, some sweet caramel. Flavour is composed of honey, caramel malts, tangy pineapple, funky coconut, lemon. Nice example of sorachi. Alcohol is present but not too in your face. Little lingering tangerine and caramel. Palate is sticky resin, caramel moderate carbonation. Decent example of the hop.

Bottle picked up at Good Taste, Crystal Palace. It pours clear golden-amber with a thick white head. The nose is big sorachi....fennel, bubblegum, sweet plastic, marzipan and some citrus. The taste is bitter-sweet, herbal, grassy, fennel, alcohol, grapefruit, orange rind, plastic, soap and hovis biscuit with lingering bitter finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty punchy and massive on the Sorachi. I really find it difficult to stomach this hop in this great quantity..... so much fennel. Not for me.

On tap at Bottle Shop London. Cloudy dirty brown gold colour. Lasting cream head. Pineapple aroma. Love the sorachi ace. Some earth. Not too bitter. Ok condition. Just a lovely pineapple citrus flavour.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy amber body with a medium off-white head. Lively carbonation. Thick lacing marks. Aroma of dusty lemon, honey and cat litter. Flavour of lemon, flour and grapefruit. Very dry and bitter. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. A hefty hoppy punch. I’m still not keen on Sorachi Ace though.
