[Tasting glass draft @ Billie’s Bier Kafétaria] Dark amber orange, off-white tanned head. Nose is surprisingly hoppy, big bitter herbal hops & medicinal leaves and herbs, huge raw hops, indeed this is an American style Barley Wine. Taste is all hops upfront, thick herbal hops, medicinal leaves, thick almost syrupy, hops are all in the beginning, finish is all malts, wonderful thick sweet syrupy malts, marzipan, almond, thick sugary sweet caramel and toffee malts, aftertastes lingers for a long time, very nice. Thick bodied, herbal leaves & thick syrupy malts. Hoppy Barley Wine’s are usually something that I like to age but here the balance is really good between the two parts, delicious beer.

Pours unclear amber, good White head. Smell is bit hoppy. Rich malts. Taste is soft, easy drinkable, malty ( ambermalts ) bit sweet. Some hops, but not overly hoppy. Not really a barleywine. Very Nice.

Draught @ Thornbridge Pub, Den Bosch. Opaque orange to reddish color, medium to full sized creamy beige head that lasts for quite a long time. Aroma is heavily malty and insanely hoppy. Taste malts, again heavily hopped, sticky hops and malt plus sticky hop bitter. Medium to full body, suitable moderate carbonation. A true American style barley wine imo. Very nice!

Bottle, 500 ml, from Pivoteka. Pours deep orange to amber with dense off-white head. Caramel, malty, ripe fruit, bit sticky. Sweet, some bitterness in finish. Bit warming. Medium bodied. OK.

Bottle. Very phenolic nose, acetone Cloudy grey amber, offwhite lace. Medium body, mellow, roast, grassy hops, stone salt, oxidized roast, coffee, piney rotten orange peel.

Hazy ruby/amber with little beige head. Arom is some chalk, lots of phenols, some nuts, walnuts, toffee. Sage, and oher herbs. Taste is sweetness, with much phenolic sourness and bitterness. Very heavy, and much alcohol. A little spicy hook. Ayoo.

Bottle. Hazy amber color with eggshell head. Aroma is jam, berries, toffee, spruce. Taste is fruit jam, more berries, spruce, quite a heavy bitter finish. Unusual, but hard to describe - as so often with Pinta, seems to be their house character.

Butelka 0,5 z datą ważności 26.10.2016 temperatura degustacji 14 stopni+, szkło teku. AROMAT: początkowo mocny aromat chmielowy (cytrusowo-ziołowy, trochę białych owoców), słodka słodowość, nuty biszkoptowe, aldehyd octowy wyczuwalny w postaci zielonego jabłka na który wielu narzekało zaraz po premierze praktycznie niewyczuwalny ( stracił na mocy), delikatny szlachetny alk. PIANA: niska, jasno beżowa, drobno pęcherzykowa, szybko opada. BARWA: ciemno bursztynowa, klarowne, z dużą ilością osadu na dnie butelki. SMAK: konkretna podbudowa słodowa bardzo szybko przełamana solidną goryczką o smaku albedo grejpfruta wspierana przyjemnym szlachetnym rozgrzewającym alkoholem. Wysycenie średnie do niskiego, jest sporo ciała, bardzo dobry abv, mam wrażenie że to zielone jabłko poszło w kierunku winogron, ciekawe co da dłuższe leżakowanie.
