A thirst-quenching sour wheat beer fermented with Lactobacillus.

Taste: An assertive, but not overwhelming acidity dominates the first taste, balancing out the biscuity malty body. Though sharp, the carbonation lifts the tartness and cleanses the whole palate, making it a thoroughly sessionable — even sauna-able — beer.

Small white head doesn’t last. Slightly hazy pale yellow body is nearly still. Rhubarb and vinegar aroma with phenolic notes. Dry acidic rhubarb and melon taste with funky mineraly notes. Thin-bodied. Sharpish, fizzy, mealy mouthfeel. Dry-acidic papery rhubarb aftertaste with funky notes. Not very nice. Flat and austere with little real character. I finished it, but just barely. (0.33l bottle, from Gulating Strømmen. Batch #248.)

Refreshingly tart, dry. A subtle and good example of the style. No fruity additions, but sometimes less is just more.

Helder lichtgeel bier zonder schuim. Smaak is fruitig en friszuur met iets van citroen en appel. Lijkt meer op een fris fruitsap dan een bier, maar is best te drinken.

Tasting glass @ Beerlovers Bar. Hazy milky citrus golden with no head. Nose is rotting grain wehat, spoiled lemon, low urinal funk, feels unboiled, lemon, spoiled wheat zest, nose is a bit hard for me. Taste is pretty approachable, urinal funk is minimal, basic, flat, very lactic, acidic wheat, sour lemon, dash vinegar, lemon acid, bit harsh at first but okay as a simple acidic lemon lactic brew. Pretty much flat body, acidic lemon.
