This popular edition in our “Street” series of India Pale Ales spotlights the remarkably complex Mosaic hop. Melcher Street is hazy, pale orange in appearance and emits aromatic qualities of grapefruit, mild-earthy pine, and mango on the nose. Dank flavors of pine and green hop, along with juicy notes of tropical fruit, melon, and peach, are accentuated with crisp malt character, mild bitterness, and a soft, effervescent mouthfeel.

Oddly, I’ve only ever had the DDH before… tasty and a good expression of Mosaic. Pink grapefruit and a tropical blend, mango skin, hoppy light bite on the back

473ml can. Hazy, yellow-ish, deep golden colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, very slowly osteoporosing, moderately lacing, white head. Juicy, tropical fruity, piney and citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, pale and wheaty malty background, notes of grapefruit, pineapple, some mango, pine, a touch of grape sugar, orange peel. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally sugary, pale malty and citrusy fruity, slightly piney and tropical fruity hoppy, notes of pine, pineapple, grapefruit, some mango, a touch of grape sugar, very mild hop bitterness with a zesty touch of orange peel. Minimally creamy, dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously minimally dry palate, medium to fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation. Excellent balance, nice piney aspects - very good!

Tap at Appalachian while bottle shopping, 8oz pour in a pretty stemless. Hazy, honey yellow-orange, tall head, sticky & lingering. Baby powder nose, slight acid, with a little egg yoke savoriness. Very mild pineapple, strong citrus zest with zero bitterness, lemon, minerally, mellow yeasties. Infinitely frothy, a touch boozy, finely dusty finish. Subtle floral nuance feels a little more refined. Surprised I liked this.

0.473 l can from 'Mr. Hop', canned in August 2023. Hazy, golden with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, very fruity, slightly dank aroma of mango, passion fruit, green peppers and some pineapple. Gently sweet, rather fruity, juicy and slightly dank taste of mango, passion fruit, pineapple and light green peppers, followed by a short, hardly bitter finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Great fruity flavours, quite clean for the style, maybe a little thin. Good, but not outstanding.
