Keg at the brewery, clouded amber orange coloured pour with a big frothy off white head. Aroma is juicy orange rind, yeast esters, little jammy. Tangy berry fruit. Flavour is composed of nutty malts, jammy tangy fruits, orange rind, semi sweet with hints of caramel. Little Rusty penny in the finish. Palate is semi sweet and grainy, hishish carbonation. Decent fruit character. Tart raspberry and nuts.

330 ml. bottle sampled / shared as “Partizan Bière de Garde” @ Yarric’s house warming. Bottled on 03.11.15. Dark orange amber with an off-white head. Nose is massive sweet caramel candied grapefruit syrup, sugary cornflakes. Taste is very sweet creamy, oddly chunky sugar candied grapefruit, malts, cloying caramel, raw, lightly bitter in the finish, herbs. Slightly chunky body which is really odd. Interesting but too cloying & sweet to fully embrace.

Bottle from Sourced Market St Pancras drunk on a train to Bicester. Hazy deep amber colour lasting cream head. Certainly a lot going on. Belgian or saison yeast then plenty of malts some sweetness some nuttiness almost more a Belgian ale than a biere de garde but with fewer esters. Farmhouse ale perhaps. Some lemon flavour some hop and citrus and dryness on the finish. Certainly interesting not sure it completely works for me. Condition is a bit fizzy

Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-Xmas Tasting. It pours clear amber with a bubbly white head. The nose is toasted grass, herbal, bitter – sweet character, damp leaves and fruit pie. The taste is bitter, toasty, fruit pie, earthy, umami, leather, light acidity, grass and herbs with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty interesting spicy and herbal notes. Not bad.

Keg at Partizan Brewery, London, Saturday 12th December 2015 Mid amber, fruity with a sour, slightly unripe fruit skin edge, bit like plums. A touch too cold to pick up much on the nose. Quite good but Loz likes this more than me. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Bottle shared at the chriso and Ruth pre-Christmas / post-Pigs Ear holiday tasting of 2015 - London. Cheers! Pours unclear, rich gold with a creamy, white head. The aroma holds ripe orange, a little grain, tangerine, bread. Medium sweet flavor with a note of sweat, some ripe tangerine, further grainy bread. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet, sugary and bready finish, with more grains, notes of wheat, oranges. Nice overall.
