The subtle floral and spice notes of our Witbier are turned up loud by the rich tannins and funk of a Burgundy red wine barrel. Brett aging in the wood dries out the flavours smoothly.

Bottle from the brewery thanks Tom drunk at home. Hazy pale gold colour lasting thin white head. Funky aroma. Orange spice aroma. A slightly sour wit bier. I mean this is a grown up adult wit bier. It has all the elements you would expect a hoppy orange accented wheat beer but this has a sour edge. And a good one too. I really liked it. Well worth a tenner for a 75cl bottle.

Draft @ Tilquin English Fest ’16, day2.

Big thanks to Leighton for saving me some and hauling it. Palate is light, fairly dry and has reasonable fine carbonation. A fruity sourness and dry wheat. Tangy lemon finish. Not bad.

Tap at TCBW2016. Hazy yellow color, big cloudy white head. Light fruity tartness in the nose. Light-bodied. A bit spicey fruity flavor. Wheaty. Easy. Not enough substance. One of the weakest bbns.

Bottle shared at Leightons place 21/03/2016. Huge thanks to Leighton for this one. Slight hazed yellow / straw coloured pour with a lasting loose white head. Aroma is rustic grains, hint funk, orange rind, wheat, straw, hit of herbal. Flavour is composed of light grains, hit of pithy lemon, straw, some funk, some pithy citrus. Palate is medium light, Refreshing, highish carbonation. Like it a lot.

Big bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours very lightly hazy pale golden with a small white head. The aroma is earthy, musty, funky, wood, straw, dirt, raw cheese and over - ripe fruits. The taste is crisp, bitter, earthy, funky, red grape skin, tannins, light tang, grassy, lactic, straw and salted lemon with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Interesting, but I’m not so sure on the balance.
