Bottle shared at a CBC Clerkenwell tasting - London. Big thanks to Fergus for this one. Pours clearish yellow with a creamy white head. The nose holds dry wheat, hay, pale grains. Light sweet flavor with some bitter grain husk, grass, pine needles. Light bodied with average carbonation. Dry and bitter on the finish, with more grass and grain. So so.

Shared 75cl bottle. Slightly hazy dark golden with average sized white head. Sweet malts, light cocoa, peppery, fruity with some pineapple, red apple, roasted nuts, yeasty. Light sweet, saison like peppery yeast with tart touch, going into light bitter to medium finish. Very interesting beer, like a mix between a saison and English IPA with some roasted notes even though it’s a very light colored beer. Good French farmhouse ale, nice one.

1/V/2012 - 75cl bottle @ home - BB: n/a (2012-453) Thanks to Steven for the bottle!
Clear pale yellow beer, nice big creamy head, pretty stable, adhesive. Aroma: marijuana upon opening the bottle, very fruity, almost sweet, little herbal, dry dusty and a slightly citric touch. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: little fruity, not sweet at all, nice bitterness, some grapefruity, very dry bitterness with a touch of malts. Aftertaste: very bitter, almost medicinal, very long lasting.

Had this from bottle at Vilvordia Bier Proef Festival, Jette, Brussels, Belgium Sat 24th March 2012 with Loz and in company of Simon, Jackie & David Pours gold with a slight haze. This is wonderfully hoppy, really strung out hoppiness and bitterness, bags of citrus, punchy, moreish, I had another. Possibly beer of the festival for me. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9

Bottle @ VBPF’12.

Dense yellowish head over faintly veiled orange-yellow beer. Citrussy nose, grains, white candi sugar, garden herbs, but demure. Quite bitter, vegetable bitterness as from very shortly wokked green veggies; slightly spiced, citrus and hops. Spritzy; light to medium bodied, long bitter-hoppy aftertaste. Nice, refreshingly bitter, but to call this a double IPA, is really stretching it... Grand merci à Jean H!
