Brewed in collaboration with Matt Curtis and The Duke’s Head Highgate, this is our new red ale which sold out on its release day. It’s got a delicious biscuit and caramel malt backbone that is lifted by pine and dank notes from Chinook, Simcoe and Nugget hops.

Keg at BrewDog Camden - London. Pours rich amber with a creamy white topping. The nose holds ripe fruits, some toasty bread, light toffee and suggestions of cocoa. Medium sweet flavor with ripe citrus, mellow leathery berries, toasty malts. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Lightly resinous to finish, with some orange rind bitterness, oily pine, dried berries, melon, papaya. Lots of pine and ripe berries, along with some leafy hops like a latter-day ESB. Rich and full overall, moderately punchy. Good stuff.

Cask at The Harp, Trafalgar Square, London. A dark brown/amber coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, pine aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, citrus, pine, slight bitterness. It is fine but I was expecting something more exciting than this offering from Weird Beard.

Cask at The Harp. It pours clear darkest amber - brown with a thick off-white head. The nose is earthy, bitter -sweet, grassy, dank, pine, light caramel and toasty brown sugars. The taste is bitter, earthy, toasty grass, dank hoppage, quite dry, some hop astringency, varnish, light pepper, light peach and marmalade with a lingering bitter - dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Good depth to it. Pretty tasty stuff.

Brewdog Camden. Keg. Lightly hazy amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is finely crisp and semi dry. Light toffee and caramel malts, trace of thin cream. Minerals. Marmalade. Mild pine and hop spice in the crispy finish. Fine but lacks a bit of hop wallop.

Keg at the tap takeover Brewdog Camden. Deep ruby red / amber coloured pout with a thick lasting cream coloured head. Aroma is not very dank, citrus, lemon, brandy snap sugar, toffee, light pine needle hop. Flavour is composed of rounded semi sweet, toffee and bready malts, some Munich malt maybe. Some red berry, little dank citrus. Palate is semi sweet, slightly creamy, moderate carbonation. Assertive slightly rough grassy bitterness. Decent.
