Brewed in collaboration with Matt Curtis and The Duke’s Head Highgate, this is our new red ale which sold out on its release day. It’s got a delicious biscuit and caramel malt backbone that is lifted by pine and dank notes from Chinook, Simcoe and Nugget hops.

Bouteille 33cl, merci Pierre T. Batch 251, bottled 11/2015.

Keg at In De Wildeman, courtesy of Simon - thanks dude! Rather clear red-brown color. Uneven light beige head. Aroma’s: caramel malts, resinous hops, light citrus. Retronasal it’s resinous, light sour, light sweet, dark malts/caramel. Flavor is moderate bitter-moderate sweet. Medium bodied. Finishes rather bitter, a bit earthy. Really nice for a red/amber.

Cask at The Greyfriars, Reading. Amber-red with a thick cream head. Piney hops dominate the aroma and flavour but are balanced by orange and caramel behind. Really tasty and very drinkable.

Keg at BD Sheps Bush, 15/12/15. Chestnut brown to amber with a decent beige covering. Nose is earthy hop, straw, biscuit malt, light pine, candied fruit peel. Taste comprises bitter orange, caramel, biscuit, trace of pine, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok amber. Was expecting something danker though !

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines. Cotteridge, Birmingham, consumed at home Friday 20th November 2015 Reddy amber in colour with a very sticky white head. A sweetness is soon pushed back by a thrusty bitterness. A little bit of spice but also some bitter orange and a tang. It’s a nice start to the evening in Jezzas virtual bar.A6 A3 T7 P4 Ov14 3.4

Bottle. Hazy ruby/amber body with a medium off-white. Light lacing. Aroma of toffee and peppery hops. Flavour of caramel and orange. Medium body with a oily texture. Soft fizz. Tasty and simple - milder than I was expecting.

330ml bottle split between myself and Paolo @ Craven Arms, Birmingham. Pours a deep hazy brown with off-white head. Good resinous hoppy aroma. Taste is complex, with nutty malts, plump dark fruits & a little citrus. Very nice beer to round off the evening.
