The beer is golden yellow and has almost none of the typical bitterness or hops aroma. The role of hops in the breweries 200 years ago was not as important as it is today. The beer's taste profile is similar to wine; with a distinct freshness and fruitiness together with a subtle spiciness. Its aroma is fresh and acidic with flowery notes of fruit.

March 2015: Shared 375 ml green and corked & caged bottle at local tasting. Golden colour, moderate white head. Nice aroma of farmhouse kitchen and oaked cider, hints of dusty attic. Easy drinking, light bodied. Some fruitiness but not really sour, a mild spicy hint.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a coppery with white bubbly head. Aroma is fruity, tangy to the nose. Taste is bit weird, cardboard, tangy fruit, malts.

16/12/2020. Bottle courtesy of Nisse666, cheers! Beautifully presented cork topped bottle which opened with a small pop but no fizz. Poured clear golden amber with a small short lasting frothy white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, syrup, fruit, flowers and yeast. Medium plus sweetness, minimal bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, low carbonation. Sweet finish, with a touch of peppery spice coming through. Interesting, moreso than enjoyable, and not something I'd seek out again.

(Bottle) Golden amber colour, flat, with a brief bubbly head. Malty, fruity nose with orange peel, apricots, toffee, flowers and a touch of cellar. Fruity, malty taste with bread, dough, mixed fruit, flowers, orange peel and a finish with low bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Interesting and quite subtle, with some spicy and floral notes. Quite enjoyable.

Corked bottle from Tbone, thanks! Golden color. Soft notes of pear and dust in the aroma. Thinnish. Pear, apple and a soft grainy flavor. Just the slightest hint of sourness. Absolutely drinkable and historically interesting beer, but not bursting with flavors and aromas.
0,375 litre Bottle from Alko Waasa. Clear Golden with little head. Malts, Fruity, sweetness,
