Thick beige head over black-brown beer. Roast, bit of ashes, diary, fruit (berries). Fruity character, light roast, thick feel, and fruit/lactic acidity. Quite complex! In the aftertaste I get holly. Really complex, certainly seen its modest ABV!

Bottle. Dark brown beer with a tan head. Roast and chocolate aroma with light fruitiness. Cranberry and roast flavor with light nuttiness. Medium bodied. Roast and nuttiness linger with light fruitiness.

14/12/2018 - draught taster @Brewdog Brussels. Black colour, no head. Nose is roasted, sour touch, some fruit and hops. Taste is roasted malts, some chocolate, sour touch, hint of berries, nice hoppy ending.

This is a solid, rich stout and the cranberry is balanced nicely with it being sweet in the smell but a bit more tart in the flavour, adding to the coffee, hops and coconut for a beer that is impressively complex and rich for strength. A touch coconutty for my taste.

Keg @ Drink? Hebden Bridge. Black with a thin off-white head. Crisp but bland tasting with its thin roasted malts.

Christmas was 3 months ago but what the hell... 330ml bottle. Pours dark brown with a small beige/tan head, retention and lacing ok. Aroma of roasted malts, dark fruit, cranberry, coconut, vanilla, some chocolate, coffee. Taste comprises the same flavours as the aroma, cranberry and coconut most prominent after the roasted malt. Slightly tart, sour. Light-medium body, moderate carbonation. Bit of an odd combination of flavours with the cranberry there but it began to grow on me, not something I’d buy again though.

Drunk on Christmas Day 2016 - It was a watery, dark beer with the barest hint of fruit from the cranberries. A bit of a miss from the brewery in my opinion.
