Bottle at home, 28/12/15. Light black with subtle reddish hues when held to the light with a decent beige covering. Nose is light roast, tarte berry fruits, toffee, sweet and sour notes. Taste comprises light cocoa, tangy dried berries, trace of cranberry, light roast. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stout ... quite a tarte berry affair ... certainly not a sweet number.

500 ml. bottle sampled @ “Tim’s Christmas Tasting”. Bottled on 08/2015. Dark brown, mocha bubbles. Nose is mocha, bit watery, sweetish powder mocha, light licorice & Sorachi Ace blue cheese. Taste is Sorachi ace blue cheese, mocha, powdery chocolate, citrus, powdery coffee. Rather powdery body, rather watery. The hop is great, body shows promise but this should have been fuller, higher ABV & with way more cranberries since I get none, feels like a missed opportunity.

Bottle. Dark brown body with a thick beige head. Nice lacing. Aroma of berries, creamy chocolate and Weetos. Flavour of chocolate, lightly roasted malt and cranberry. Thin to medium body with a smooth, creamy texture. Light fizz. Well rounded but a bit light on flavour.

Tap at Cherry Reds, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark reddish brown with a bubbly light tan head. The aroma is yeast, light tart citrus. The flavour is light sour with smooth light, slightly watery, tart, dry coffee, light spice palate. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation. Plenty going on but the overall impression was not great. Way too light and not really satisfying.

Bottle. It’s a dark brown beer, unclear, and topped by a small, dense, beige head. The aroma is burnt and with a touch of dried fruits and toffee. Nutty hints and some raisins. It’s smooth on the palate, with a soft carbonation. Dryish. Bonfire, nuts, toffee hints and some prunes in the flavor. Quite bitter, with some citrus zest. Rather similar flavor, but with some milk chocolate and a touch of berries in the very end. Nice, but a bit heavy on the bonfire I think. Pleasant finish. 151212

Bottle 500ml @ Geokkjer
Pours almost black with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, dried fruits and licorice. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long chocolate, caramel, dried fruity and licorice finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft,
