Nice dark red color (blood-like) with tan head. Aroma is caramel, rye spices, berries. Taste is berry fruitiness, rye, dark bread, dry overall, but still full-bodied. Very very good!

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Van Rooij, Culemborg. Very dark brown with a beige head. Hoppy aroma with some roasted malts. Nice bitter taste with again some gentle hops. Very nice atypical ale.

330ml bottle. Clear, darkest ruby red colour with average to huge, frothy, fairly lasting and lacing, beige head. Weak, aroma has hints of rye spiciness, a minimally ashy, smoky touch seems to be present as well. Taste is quite dry, malty, hints of rye spiciness, a nuttily touch, mild hoppy overtones with a touch of orange, a decent mineral note contributes to a full body.

Deep brown, ruby highlights, moderate dense off-white head. Well lacing. Nose of rye malt, tropical fruit, blossom, earth. Medium body. Dry taste, rye malt, earth, American hops. Light bitterness. Good balance. Very pleasant.

Bottle. Tall Boys, Leeds. Clear, dark red. Thick, dense, sticky, pale tan head. Nose has toasty, buttery malts. Some spicy berry notes. A bit of haw berry, or suchlike. Taste is soft, sugary sweet. Big hit of spicy bitterness. Not much in between. Oily palate. Finishes spicy bitter. Not my cup of tea at all. Where did the hops go?
