On tap at Higgins Ale Works, München, Saturday 29th November 2025 after going to Bayern Munich v At Pauli with Heidi and Shaun, they probably won't read this but a big thanks guys for the tickets. Pours black with a slim beige head, nicely bitter but with a solid roastiness, a groovy citrussyness comes through. Nice, v.nice.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, dark brwon colour with ruby shimmer and small to average, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white to beige head. Roasty dark malty and grass, piney, hoppy aroma, notes of coffee, fresh hay, scallions, dark chocolate. Taste is bitter, piney and grassy, slightly resinous and citrusy fruit hoppy, roasty dark malty, notes of coffee, dark chocolate, scallions, some grapefruit peel, orange, orange flavoured chocolate; a touch of liquorice and salmiac in the finish. Slightly oily, watery texture, smooth and dry, minimally greasy and cloying palate, medium, foamy, mildly prickly carbonation. Well balanced, harmonious - wonderful!

Bottle from the brewery; 6.7% drunk while firing up season two of The Witcher. Very dark brown, decent and pretty head. Nose is malty with good hop character, earthy with fruity/citrus hints. The flavor has a hint of dank goodness with some lemon and orange, but the earthiness blends very well with the dark roasted malt notes. An excellent hoppy dark beer! (finally, there's a dark hop bomb that's not a 10%+ sweet/bitter double double imperial stout.)
