Thank you! Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2015. Not sure if this is still in production since I think that the affiliated store no longer excises. Dark brown, small mocha head. Nose is sweet nasty off-putting licorice, herbal, caramel, excessive yeast, fish guts,… Taste is rotting spoiled fruit, spoiled yeast, candy, herbal, weird fish guts,… Fizzy, herbal yeast. All that is not cute & fuzzy in Belgian beers of this kind. Nope.

Bottle thnx to Matt ! Pours unclear brown / very dark amber. small and fast fading white head . Smell is sweet, malty, tiny bit of port . Taste is sweet, very much madeira ( no real port ) over a glue-like funkyness kinda off-flavor . Overcarbonated , thin mouthfeel . Ok , over its prime, no doubt about that , but on top of that the glue-aspect than makes this less good than average .

Bottle @ Papsø. Pours an amber color with a small longlasting off-white head. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty aroma. Sweetish malty spicy yeasty flavor. Has a sweetish malty spicy yeasty finish.

Cloudy red brown beer, big aery beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: caramel, some dried fruits, bit sour, raisins. MF: quite some carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty fruity, sour, red berries, strawberry jam, some chocolate. Aftertaste: little sour, dried fruits, raisins. Wow, I really like this one! Probably age has something to do with it (2 years?), but man. Good stuff!

33 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden amber with a small off white head. Aroma is toasted malty and breadish. Spiced. Toasted malty, phenolic and caramelish. Bitter and dry malty finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear warm amber with a creamy off-white head. Very perfumy aroma - coriander and star anise? Fairly solid body, some caramel but the heavy dose of spices dominate. Some warming alcohol. 301112

Bottle 330ml.[ BBF 12-2013 ]. Clear medium to dark amber colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, old malt - oxidide, chocolate - nutty notes, light to light moderate yeasty. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, fruity - berry sweet, caramel, yeasty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120623]
