In a tribute to searing basslines of modern club bangers, BASS DROP is a rich, viscous beer with a huge dark malt flavours with a smooth yet smoky presence on the palate. Deceptively drinkable for such a high ABV with hints of vanilla and a warming finish leaving a party in your mouth. This one-off stout is one to remember.

Bottle. Almost black, opague. Caramel, roast and milk chocolate in the aroma and flavor. Malty sweet. raisin. Silky mouthfeel. Very pleasant, quite drinkable, but lacks some complexity.

Birthday bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker; thanks to Anke & family!
Best before: november 2015.
Pours cloudy black with a quickly diminishing, beige head. The aroma contains roasted malt, coffee, dark fruits, dark chocolate and smoke. It tastes light to medium (bit fruity) sweet and light smoky bitter with a long, roasted finish. The alcohol is warming but remains hidden in the taste. Medium body, slick/oily texture, soft carbonation. A traditional, but very accessible Imperial Stout - would recommend to introduce one to the style.

2016 catch up - Bottle at home - A very good imperial stout. Roastiness, coffee, alcohol and a rather pleasant sweetness that grew as I made my way down the glass.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is sweet roasty malt, liqourice, caramel, lactose and alcohol. The flavour is moderate sweet with a rich, smooth, liqourice roasty, dry smoke palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

Opaque black - brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is softish with modest fine carbonation. Rich tangy dark malts, dark malt cream. Little dark chocolate. Mellow dark fruits. Smooth semi dry finish. Dark chocolate linger. Nice.

Ein schön komponiertes Imperial Stout, das eine nette Bandbreite an schokoladigen Aromen bietet. Durch die schwere, ölige Textur bleibt ein angenehmer Vanille und Kakao-Geschmack zurück. Not bad.

0,33l bottle at home. BB 11/2015. black color, small coffee-colored head. smells milky, lactic, light roast, earthy, licorice, overall good smell. full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes earthy, some smoke, lactic, spices, licorice, light dark fruits, plums. finishes with notes of dark fruits, earthy notes and some licorice. ok but a bit boring for an imp stout.
