Very dark mahogany pour with a huge fluffy khaki head that gets quickly out of control unless poured slowly and deliberately. Head fades slowly and leaves some lace. Nose is coffee, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, light vanilla, an increasing smokiness as it warms and a definite floral hop presence with a touch of pine. Light+ sweet molasses supporting a big bitterness of coffee, chocolate and herbal hops with a smoky finish. Mouth is medium+ and creamy with a lingering dry bitter finish and slightly soft carbonation. Maltier and fuller than their Black IPA and just as tasty.

Bottle @ home. Opaque dark brown color with an insane foamy brown head that filled up my glass in an instant and kept oozing out of the bottle for minutes. Aroma is malts, dark roasted malts and earthy. Taste malts, roast, dark malts, leaves, earthy again, raisins, plums, firm earthy roast malt bitter. Medium body, firm fizzy carbonation. Don’t like it.
