New blonde quencher with thick, creamy, irregular, off-white head and cloudy ochre blonde colour with peachy hue. Fairly neutral aroma of gooseberries, dried orange peel, dried banana, earth, a light touch of caramel and less flattering notes of melting plastic and DMS (cooked cabbage). Soft, dull fruitiness, hints of apple and berries, light minerally touch, grainy pale malt backbone, thinnish body, finishing lightly yeasty with some earthy hop bitterishness and the unpleasant plastic accent again. Not fermented well, but not conceived well either: this is a bland, boring, dull blonde as there are way too many in Belgium already. With all the sympathy I have for this lovely old-fashioned brewery, this beer has absolutely no purpose whatsoever.
