Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Stas & Max. Black with a light brown head. Aroma of roast, chocolate, dark fruits. Sweet flavor with chocolate, roast, a mild sourish touch, a bit of dark fruits. Medium to full-bodied. Nice.

Bouteille 33cl, BB12/2016, bottled 05/204.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgie, consumed at home Tuesday 31st March 2015 Dark brown on the pour with a filmy tan head. Pleasantly chocolatey, fruity, malty and just very full flavoured. Really enjoyed this beer, review brief as I am cooking. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9

Pours very dark brown, one might call it black . Rather small, yet dark foam . fades fast . Smell is intense burnt malts . bit sweet, some coffee tones with cocoa notes . Taste is mildly bitter, with some coffee . Weak mouthfeel . Too much carbonation. Rather dry ending. Rather straight and boring taste. Probably lacks the Maltbase needed for this type of beer

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Opaque pitch black color, full sized beige head. Don’t get a lot of aroma. Taste malts, dark malts, decently bitter, lightly roasty. Decent body and soft to average carbonation. A bit weird perhaps but not bad.

Bottle @ the last thursdayeveningtasting @ de dries. Brown colour with a small light brown head. Smells glue, roasty, tar, peat. Tastes sweet, roasty, dark malts, hint of raisins. Nothing crazy but not bad either. Medium to full body, soft carbo.

Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with stable, creamy off-white head. Dark aroma of dark chocolate, coffee and cramel malt. Roasty flavour with dark, pronounced notes of coffee and chocolate, and notes of yeast and touches of hops. Sweetish and roasted aftertaste. Warming alcohol presence. Nice, decent and enjoyable but not really a Big Bang. A modest one, perhaps ;-) Rating #3210... Bang!
