Beetje zuur door de barrel. Als bier prima, als ipa matig.

Small off-white head over clear metallic orange beer, still looking. Sharp aroma, bit acetone-like - the wild yeasts & wood showing. Orange, orangeliqueur, solvent, caramel. Again sharp in flavour, but tilted more towards the orange/orangeliqueur, even orangepeeloils side. Sweet and sour in a rather good balance. Finishing almost tart, again the wood shining, lending it a vinous character. Almost no carbonation, and being very slick to oily, it makes the liqueur impression tangible. Yet it feels not dead. A beer that needs a certain amount of habituation, it grew on me too. Its 6% ABV notwithstanding, it demands to be sipped at leasure, the full 50cl not making it easier. I Thanks to Ronald! /I

Bottle picked up from Dranken Geers, Oostakker nr Gent, Belgie and consumed at home Attenkirchen, Monday 10th June 2019, sat in the garden listening to Snapped Ankles - Come Play the Trees. This was a slow but steady gusher, lively with a lava flow of foam desperately trying to evacuate the bottle. Pours grubby golden amber with a white bubbly head. Fruity, funky, sweet and also with a tart sourness, it's got the lot. The tongue gets a real workout with this beer, zappy with some tart summer fruit, dry almost wine like finish. Good the barrel ageing softens and adds complexity of that there is no doubt.

50cl Bottle from Vonk. Hazy golden yellow colour, white head. Aroma of Brett funk, wood, citrusy hops, lemon, floral, smells great. Flavour is dry, light malty, crisp, citrus, funky, Brett, light spicy, floral hops, hint of grapes, light tartness, bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Great beer, hope to find this again.

Bottle at Cafe Rose Red, only one of 900 bottles, drowned by myself. 12th February 17. Pours amber, slight cloud. Aroma is brett, sour, yeast, some sweetness, fruit, barrel, wood. Taste is so complex, fresh, floral notes, perfume, bitterness, citrus fruit, barrel, mellow, wood, Brett, sour, wood, some floral sweetness. Really special and probably the best beer of this Bruges trip.
