Sample @ 6de Gents Bierfestival 2015.

First beer from an actual new micro brewery in the center of Ghent. Loose, creamy, snow white head, misty ’old gold’ colour with somewhat orangey hue. Rainwater is the first impression I get when I put my nose in the glass, paired with hints of apple, honey, flowers, biscuit and, alas, unmistakable DMS (cooked white cabbage). Spritzy onset with fairly strong carbo, fruity notes of peach, banana and pineapple, ’Belgian bubblegum’ impression, soft and relatively light caramelly malt body, bit minerally, floral and grassy hop bitterishness in the finish. Not all bad for a first attempt, but still has a few flaws which should be eliminated before venturing into wider distribution or expanding the range, I think - if that is the intention, of course.

(Thx! for sharing) Sampled bottled @ Gents Bierfestival 2015. Hazy orange, little white. Nose is weak, sweetish dough, hay, aspirin. Taste is aspirin, artificial sweetener, dough, milky, candy, yeast. Heavy yeast body. Meh, so/so & very unremarkable. There are more than enough other beers like this out there.

Small off-white rim over fully hazy ochre-orange beer. Perfumey, garden herbs, floral, slightly artificial nose. Sweet, pineapple, with just a light hint @ sourishness. In fact, rather dull. Light slickness, light to medium bodied. Motivation?
