[9/19/15] Draught at the brewery in Oostvleteren. Aroma of malt, caramel, booziness, bourbon, vanilla, dark fruits. Sweet boozy flavor with dark fruits, caramel, vanilla, bourbon. Medium to full-bodied, boozy. Decent, but too boozy.

Pours dark brown no head. Smell is sweet, bit booze. Taste is sharp,grain, bit bitter, feels pretty light . Nice

Clear deep brown beer, no head. Aroma: very fruity, sweet, caramel, dried fruits, some pineapple, sour apples, alcohol but not very obvious. MF: no carbon, full body. Taste: WOW! Sweet start, caramel, dried fruits, some banana, bit hoppy, alcohol. Aftertaste: pretty bitter, alcohol, dried fruits, ripe banana, more alcohol, fudge, caramel, bit syrupy, some figs, prunes, chocolate finish. Just wow!

8 cl. @ ’t Schooltje. Black with no head. Nose is very big on alcohol, syrup, candy, chocolate, warming, bourbon, very big alcohol,… Taste is big warming spirit, licorice, chocolate, syrup, leaves, touch vanilla, brown sugar, cheap coffee,…. Very syrupy,… Surprisingly good considering the ABV,… Wonderful but hard to drink. Even a tasting glass was a bit too much.

Black, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, strong liquorice, alcohol, blackberries, red fruits. Quite bitter flavour, liquorice, coffee. Quite alcoholic. Finish liquorice, coffee, bit astringent.
