33cl bottle from Hopduvel, Ghent. An attractive reddish chestnut colour with a billowing beige head; aroma of caramel and Belgian yeast; smooth and mellow in the mouth with a vinous taste; and nutty finish. Good, but not as good as the Blondine.

27/III/15 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ home - BB: XII/2017 (2015-406)

Clear red to bordeaux coloured beer, small creamy beige head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: overripe banana, floral, sweet, some chocolate, cocoa powder. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: overripe fruits, banana, something off, weird, bitter, cocoa powder. Aftertaste: bit sweet, chocolate, overripe banana, something off still. I guess it's the yeast profile. Overall enjoyable though.
