(Draught at Delirium Tap Bar, Brussels, 18 Oct 2015) Golden colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried fruit, sweet malt and spicy hops. Malty, fruity taste with tropical fruit, dried pineapple, candy sugar, sweet malt and a balanced spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and refreshing. Quite nice.

Sampled draft @ Delirium Tap House. Clear golden, big white head. Nose is metallic, cold iron, cereal, grain, very cheap sugar,... Taste is cereal, cold water, iron, thin, metallic, very cheap white sugar,… Clean, metallic & industrial. Processed to death. Quite stupid really.

--- Beer merged from original tick of Chevetogne Blonde on 25 May 2018 at 16:48 - Score: 6

Bottle @ home. Clear golden color, small off-white head that diminishes fairly quickly. Smell and taste malts, some grains, lightly some sweet-bitter and a touch of fruits hidden somewhere. Hmm pretty useful blonde that gets significantly better after it warms up a bit.

25cl bottle, BB 11.10.2014.

Good, fine yellowish head over clear yellow-golden beer. Slightly spicy malts, EU hops. Dried hopbales, straw. Plain, but OK. Slightly sourish impression, mainly from the CO², it appears. Some plain grains, pale, maybe slightly coloured malt and a hint at dusty spices, dried to death. Hint at spruce. Fizzy MF, overcarbonated, the CO² virtually overshadowing all other impressions, leaving an empty, watery finish, devoid of aftertaste. At least it’s not infected. Instead, they managed overcarbonated yellow water, this time. I can’t see reason nor rhyme as to how this brewery keeps rectifying its existence...
