Tasting at Leighton’s Flat. Thanks to Leighton for procuring. Almost clear gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry with mild fine carbonation. Light semi dry malts. Mild orange sweetness. Light floralness. Vibrant hops - piney spicy tropical fruits, a little citric peel. Light finish. Hop spice lingers. Great stuff.

Bottle. Buxton Tap House. Hazy, reddy amber. Lots of yeasty floaters. Messy, thin, cream coloured head. Dank, spicy, orange hop. Toffee malts. Pink grapefruit in there. Pine resin, too. Taste is sweet, then long, rising, resinous bitter. Oily, chewy palate. Finishes spicy, resinous bitter. Very tasty, but a bit heavy on the spicy hop, for me.

Bottle shared by Leighton. It pours clear orange-amber with medium white head. The nose is toasty pine, resin, varnish, orange sherbet, stewed citrus and brown bread. The taste is bitter, rich, boozy, earth, orange sherbet, grapefruit rind, tangerine, resin and pine with a lingering bitter-dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A punchy and tasty IPA. Nice work.
