Tap at the pub. Hazy dark brown with a high, airy head. Nose of chocolate, banana, citrus, apples, caramel. Malty, sweet and rich, with apples, chocolate, banana. Slightly reminiscent of a weizenbock. Interesting. Spicy, slightly peppery finish. Lightly tart.

One of the six beers at the brewery on my tasting tray, 16th May 2018. Hazy brown body, lightly tanned foam on top. malty molasses and plums rule the nose, taste is malty sweet, again with a plum fruitiness. Nice.

Sampler from tap at De Toeter. ABV is 8%. ABT beer of the month. Clear ruby brown colour, beige head. Aroma is sweet, sugary, malty, red fruits, tiny hint of tartness, tiny bit of wood. Flavour is sweet, malty, red fruits, also some banana, some wood, just light tartness, bittersweet finish. Light to medium bodied. Quite sweet.

On tap at the Delirium Cafe. Pours an opaque, dark brown color, with a small, tan head. The aroma is light coffee, caramel, chicory, black bread, dates, and pipe tobacco. Sweet and malty, with just the right amount of hop bitterness. Smooth and malty. Pretty nice bruin.

Pours cloudy dark brown/red with a small, off-white head. The aroma contains wine, wood, some banana (esters), berries, some spices. It tastes light to medium sour and light spicy bitter. The finish is slightly tart and spicy. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Seeing that Bourgogne des Flandres is a subdivision of Anthony Martin, this was a surprisingly enjoyable late-night sipper.
